On March 28, 2025, authorities in New Bern, North Carolina, responded to a reported shooting in the 100 block of Hillmont Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered 23-year-old Silas Wallace lying in the road with gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to provide medical aid, Wallace succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
