Ryan Daniel Davis, a 53-year-old Asian male, was found deceased on February 13, 2025, in a residence in Bixby, Oklahoma. He was discovered on a couch with two gunshot wounds to the back of his head. At the time he was found, he was still holding a bowl of food, and there were no indications of a struggle at the scene.

Surveillance footage from the home showed that Davis had arrived around 6:27 p.m. carrying Chinese food for three people. Less than 30 minutes later, at approximately 6:55 p.m., his ex-wife, 53-year-old Rachel Odom, was recorded leaving the residence with their nine-year-old daughter. No other individuals were seen entering or leaving the property during this timeframe.

After leaving the house, Odom fled to Oklahoma City with their child. She contacted her father, stating she had 'done something bad,' and also spoke with her brother. Instead of contacting emergency services as her brother suggested, a chain of calls between family members and attorneys ensued. A Tulsa attorney ultimately alerted the police to the situation around 8:15 p.m. Odom left her daughter with a family member in Oklahoma City before checking herself into a hospital.

Oklahoma City police located Odom at the hospital and held her until Tulsa Police Homicide Detectives arrived to take her into custody. When questioned in Tulsa, Odom declined to make a statement. She was subsequently booked into the Tulsa County Jail on a charge of First Degree Murder. Authorities have indicated they are examining the couple's past, including their 2022 divorce, as part of the investigation into a possible motive.
