In the heart of the bustling city of Las Vegas, the life of Michael Lyndon Patty, a 55-year-old Caucasian male, came to a tragic and violent end on January 28, 2017. Patty, who was experiencing homelessness, was discovered slumped against a wall in the south-central valley, near the intersection of Paradise and Flamingo roads.
First responders arrived at the scene to find Patty grievously wounded.
He was quickly transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in a desperate attempt to save his life. Despite the efforts of medical staff, Patty succumbed to a fatal stab wound to his chest.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department launched a homicide investigation into Patty's death. However, the case proved to be challenging for detectives. As of February 2018, more than a year after the incident, no arrests had been made in connection with the murder. The investigation remained open, with authorities appealing to the public for any information that might lead to the identification and apprehension of a suspect.
