In the small town of Coffeeville, Mississippi, the holiday season of 2024 was marred by violence with the death of Melvin Bobo. A 43-year-old Black man, Bobo was fatally shot inside a residence on Tennessee Street on the evening of December 23rd. Authorities were called to the scene at approximately 8:30 p.m., where they discovered Bobo suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
