In the quiet evening of February 16, 2025, a life full of promise was tragically cut short. Luis Garcia-Molina, a 17-year-old Hispanic male, was walking home from a child's birthday party in a northeast Las Vegas neighborhood. The night was shattered by the sound of gunfire, and when police responded to a frantic 911 call, they found the young man on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, near the 4700 block of Corsaire Avenue.
The investigation into the shooting quickly gained momentum as authorities pursued a Chevrolet Silverado seen fleeing the area. The chase extended into the neighboring city of Henderson, where six males were taken into custody. During the pursuit, occupants of the truck were seen discarding items, which were later found to be firearms and cellphones. Investigators determined that the shooting was gang-related and linked to the Clika Los Primos gang.
Prosecutors revealed a chilling narrative, stating that the suspects had attended the same birthday party as Luis. They had allegedly attempted to recruit another juvenile at the party, handing him firearms and making threats concerning his brother, Luis. Witnesses reported that Luis was confronted by several individuals before the fatal shots were fired. In the aftermath, fear rippled through the community as witnesses reported being intimidated by individuals in a white pickup truck, warning them to remain silent.
Initially, six individuals were arrested in connection with the murder: Damian Delgado, Jesus Ramirez, Victor Cardena-Pizarro, Luis Pizarro-Cardena, Juan Rodriguez-Jimenez, and Daniel Murillo. However, after further investigation, charges against Ramirez and Rodriguez-Jimenez were dropped as evidence indicated they were not present at the time of the shooting. The remaining four suspects, Damian Delgado, Luis Pizarro-Cardena, Victor Cardena-Pizarro, and Daniel Murillo, faced a range of serious charges, including murder with a deadly weapon and conspiracy to commit murder.
