Leilani Iveth Marroquin, a 27-year-old Latina woman from Rockville, Maryland, was tragically killed on January 17, 2025, in what authorities have described as a double homicide stemming from a drug deal gone wrong. She was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot of the Sleep Inn Hotel at 2 Research Court around 7:40 a.m. Shell casings were discovered nearby, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
