On the evening of Tuesday, January 21, 2025, a verbal altercation in the Cypress Lane area of Lexington, Nebraska, escalated into a fatal shooting that claimed the life of 40-year-old Hispanic male, Maykel Farinas Carballo. Lexington Police Officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 10:45 p.m. following a report of a disturbance. Upon their arrival, they discovered a silver two-door vehicle stalled in the front yard of a residence. Inside the car, Farinas Carballo was found deceased.
