On February 5, 2025, at approximately 12:15 a.m., officers from the Prince George’s County Police Department responded to a reported shooting at a residence on the 15700 block of Livingston Road in Fort Washington, Maryland. Upon arrival, they discovered 37-year-old Edna Lyles, a Black female from Accokeek, Maryland, suffering from gunshot wounds inside her home. Tragically, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
