On the morning of January 1, 2025, 47-year-old African American woman Latoya Scrivens was fatally shot in Stockton, California. The incident occurred around 11 a.m. in the 2400 block of Gareth Circle. Emergency responders found Latoya with a gunshot wound to her upper torso; she was transported to a hospital but succumbed to her injuries.
