On January 2, 2025, at approximately 2:25 p.m., a tragic incident unfolded at a residence on Brea Court in Camarillo, California, involving 89-year-old Kay Conger and her 91-year-old husband Kendall Conger. The event began when Kendall Conger contacted the Ventura County Sheriff's dispatch, informing them that he had shot his wife and was planning to take his own life.
Upon arrival at the scene, deputies discovered both Kay Conger and her husband inside their home with gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving measures attempted by emergency personnel, both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.
