On February 1, 2025, 51-year-old Tuesday Perez, a woman from Riverside, California, was fatally shot at Villegas Park in the Casa Blanca neighborhood of Riverside. Authorities reported that the incident stemmed from an ongoing dispute between Perez and another woman. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Perez with a gunshot wound. Despite immediate lifesaving efforts, she was pronounced dead at the location.
Following an investigation, law enforcement identified 49-year-old
Angela Ann Garcia, also from Riverside, as the suspect in the shooting. Garcia was located driving in Moreno Valley, leading to a low-speed pursuit by Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies. She was eventually stopped and taken into custody near Ramona Expressway and Perris Boulevard. Garcia, who sustained injuries during the altercation, was hospitalized before being booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center.
Garcia faces charges including murder with malice and being a felon in possession of a firearm. She is currently being held without bail, and her first court appearance is scheduled at the Riverside Hall of Justice. Authorities have encouraged anyone with additional information regarding the case to contact the Riverside Police Department. The investigation remains ongoing.
