On a cold January morning in Jerome, Idaho, the community was shaken by the tragic death of Sheyenne McKayla Schaer, a 29-year-old Caucasian woman. On January 14, 2025, deputies from the Jerome County Sheriff's Office responded to a call at approximately 11 a.m. and discovered a somber scene in the employee parking lot of a local business. Sheyenne was found deceased, alongside a man later identified as 31-year-old Brooke Schaer of Gooding. Both had sustained apparent gunshot wounds.
