Syncere Ellington, a 19-year-old Black/African American male from Phoenix, died on February 8, 2025, after a night that reportedly began as an underage party and ended in gunfire in Casa Grande, Arizona. Police were called around 1:10 a.m. to the area near McMurray Boulevard and Pinal Avenue, with reports placing the shooting scene in the 500 block of West 13th Place. When officers arrived, they found six people shot.
Ellington was dead from an apparent gunshot wound, while five other victims, including teenagers and young adults, were taken or flown to Valley-area hospitals for treatment.
