Johnton Banks, 23, a Black male from Omaha, was gunned down on the evening of December 27, 2019, outside a home near 30th Street and Stone Avenue in the Miller Park neighborhood. Police were dispatched just after 7:30 p.m., aided by a ShotSpotter activation that reported several gunshots in the area. Officers found Banks in the front yard with multiple gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
