Jerilyn D. Murphy Peoples, an 18-year-old woman, tragically lost her life on February 10, 1981, in Bonifay, Holmes County, Florida. She was the daughter of Harold and Ruby Murphy of Graceville, Florida, and the wife of Broward Peoples. On the day of her death, Jerilyn was returning home from work when she encountered two notorious serial killers, Ottis Toole and Henry Lee Lucas. The pair had burglarized her home, and upon her arrival, they murdered her.
