The fatal encounter took place in the 1300 block of Regina Lane, where shots were fired between two vehicles, a white Pontiac Grand Am and a dark-colored sedan. Both cars sped away from the scene, leaving the quiet street shaken by the sudden violence.
Guerra, who had been in the Pontiac, was rushed to a
nearby hospital. Despite the urgent medical attention he received, the gunshot wound proved to be too severe. He succumbed to his injuries, leaving behind a grieving family, including his father, wife, an unborn child, a son, a brother, and three sisters. His death cast a dark shadow over the community, prompting a thorough investigation by law enforcement to piece together the events of that fateful night and bring those responsible to justice.
For over a year, the case remained a focal point for investigators. A significant breakthrough came on March 15, 2023, with the arrest of 18-year-old Camron Enrique Acosta. His apprehension was not without drama, as it followed a police pursuit that ended in a car crash. Inside the vehicle, authorities discovered multiple weapons, some of which were modified to be capable of automatic fire, along with a substantial amount of cash. Two juveniles were also detained at the scene, though their direct connection to the homicide was not immediately clear.
