Frank Dennis Fox, a 17-year-old male, tragically lost his life on November 30, 1979. Born on June 3, 1962, in Los Angeles County, California, Frank was abducted from Bellflower by William Bonin, a notorious serial killer known as 'The Freeway Killer.' Bonin, who was convicted of the rape, torture, and murder of 14 boys and young men between 1968 and 1980, was executed by lethal injection at San Quentin State Prison in 1996.
Prosecutors described him as 'the most arch-evil person who ever existed.' Although Bonin was found guilty of 14 murders, he confessed to 21 and is suspected of even more.
On the day of his abduction, Frank Fox was sodomized and strangled to death by Bonin. His body was discovered two days later alongside the Ortega Highway, five miles east of San Juan Capistrano.
