Daniel Henry Cooper, a 32-year-old man of Caucasian ethnicity, was shot and killed on November 16, 1910, in Kirbyville, Texas. Cooper served as a constable for Jasper County Precinct 3. His death was the result of a confrontation with a sheriff's deputy who had recently lost an election to Cooper.
