Thomas Jefferson "Jeff" Tomlinson, a constable in Gonzales County, Texas, met a tragic end on December 17, 1910. He was found dead with two gunshot wounds just below his heart. The incident occurred while he was investigating a group of intoxicated individuals who were causing a disturbance in the town.
