Constable George W. Tucker, aged 36, was shot and killed on November 26, 1912, in Daingerfield, Texas. Tucker, who served in the Morris County Constable's Office, was attempting to arrest a man for the fraudulent sale of a mule when he was fatally shot. The suspect was later apprehended, convicted of murder, and sentenced to death.
