Robert W. Wood

On November 28, 1986, Robert W. Wood, a 27-year-old male officer of the Dallas Police Department, was shot and killed while on duty. Officer Wood and his partner had stopped a vehicle for driving without headlights in the 3400 block of North Hampton Road. As Officer Wood approached the vehicle, he was shot five times by the driver. The weapon used was a .22 caliber handgun.
