Stanley Keith Guffey, a 40-year-old white male, tragically lost his life on January 22, 1987, in Horseshoe Bay, Texas. Guffey, a dedicated Texas Ranger, was involved in a high-stakes rescue operation to save a two-year-old girl named Kara-Leigh Whitehead, who had been kidnapped by Brent Albert Beeler, a parolee from Houston wanted for forgery. Beeler had also killed the family's maid, 22-year-old Denise Johnson, during the kidnapping.
