On January 23, 1988, Officer John Glenn Chase, a 25-year-old Caucasian male, was tragically killed in the line of duty in Dallas, Texas. Officer Chase, who had served with the Dallas Police Department for two and a half years, was fatally shot by a homeless man named Carl Williams during a traffic stop.
