Becky Jill Gallegos, a 55-year-old woman of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically died on July 12, 2010, in Fredericksburg, Texas. She was shot twice in the chest by her husband, Fermin Gallegos, during a marital dispute. Following the shooting, Fermin Gallegos also shot their family dog and then himself. The incident was determined to be a murder-suicide.
