Makayla was born on June 7, 1999, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Kevin Paynter and Betty Collins. She was a student at Atlanta High School and was known for her love of walking, spending time with friends, and making jewelry with beads. Makayla was a Christian by faith and was cherished by her family and friends.
