Corey Dominic Heath, a 23-year-old African American male from Commerce, Texas, died on January 13, 2015, in an incident described by law enforcement as a home invasion. According to a statement released by the Commerce Police Department on January 16, 2015, Heath was allegedly attempting to invade a residence when he was fatally shot. The incident occurred during the reported home invasion attempt, and Heath sustained gunshot wounds that led to his death.
