Jay Venable, a 50-year-old man from Carthage, Texas, tragically died on April 28, 2015, from a gunshot wound to the head. The incident occurred at his home in the Murvaul Community on Panola County Road 121. His wife, Sarah Gilpatrick Venable, a former Center ISD teacher, was arrested and charged with his murder. According to reports, Sarah Venable retrieved a .380 semi-automatic pistol from their bedroom and shot Jay Venable once in the back of the head during a verbal argument about her losing ...
