Lowry Expressway, was the victim of a fatal shooting during an armed robbery at the hotel. The incident occurred around 6:45 a.m. on December 22, 2018, when a masked man entered the hotel lobby and shot Teresa before fleeing the scene in a white pickup truck.
Teresa was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston by Life Flight, but despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries the following day.
The investigation into Teresa's death led to the arrest of Mark Anthony Tober, who was charged with capital murder. Tober was apprehended at a laundromat in Houston after being on the run for several months. He is currently being held without bond in the Galveston County Jail. Both suspects remain at large, and a $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to their arrest or charges.
