Donald Ray McCall Jr., a 19-year-old resident of Colton, was tragically killed on June 1, 2012, in San Bernardino, California. McCall was shot near the intersection of East Baseline and Waterman Avenue, at the entrance to the Waterman Gardens public housing project. This area has long been known for its association with crime, gang activity, and poverty. McCall was reportedly walking in the area when he ended up at the apartments just moments before being shot.
