On October 29, 2020, at approximately 1:20 a.m., deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office responded to a shots fired call at Shane's Saloon in Pinehurst, Texas. Upon arrival, they discovered 41-year-old Eric Gray, a male, lying on the ground in the parking lot with a single gunshot wound to his torso. Eric Gray was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital – The Woodlands, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
