Rickquese L. McCoy, aged 18, was killed on June 30, 2012, in a shooting that also took the life of Stephen McClendon, aged 34. The incident took place on 44th Street in the City Heights neighborhood of San Diego. The shooting, which occurred around 11 p.m., left the community in shock.
