Born on April 5, 1984, in Chalon, Panama, Adam moved to Texas City in 1991 to live with his uncle and aunt, Bill and Jana Price. He attended Texas City schools and later relocated to La Marque in the early 2000s to assist Emma Jean Earles, with whom he resided until his passing.
Following the incident, La Marque detectives conducted witness interviews that identified 34-year-old Daryl Glenn Gardiner, a white male, as the individual responsible for the shooting. Gardiner was subsequently arrested in connection with Adam's death.
During legal proceedings, it was revealed that jealousy was a central factor leading to the homicide. Attorneys argued that emotional tensions culminated in the tragic event. In his testimony, Gardiner claimed he was compelled to shoot Adam, describing the circumstances that led to him discharging his firearm eight times at the victim.
