Joel A. "June Bug" Pervoe Jr., a 20-year-old resident of Oakland, California, was tragically killed on July 10, 2012. He was found deceased in an incident involving gun violence, a persistent issue in the Oakland area. Joel, who was affectionately known by his nickname "June Bug," was laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Oakland.
