Marisol Klingelhofer, a 49-year-old woman from Atascosa, Texas, was tragically murdered on April 26, 2021. Her death was a result of a brutal and violent act committed by her ex-boyfriend, Andres Perez Tarnava III. Tarnava, who was 40 years old at the time, was convicted of killing, dismembering, and burning Marisol's remains. The motive behind this heinous crime was Tarnava's belief that Marisol had stolen his late father's military ID and Social Security card.
