Leroy Ortiz, a 35-year-old man from Orange Grove, Texas, was tragically shot to death on December 5, 2021, shortly after being released from the Jim Wells County jail in Alice, Texas. Ortiz had a long criminal history, with at least 44 arrests for various felonies, including aggravated assault, car theft, and intoxication on public roads.
