David Deshawn Stewart, a 27-year-old African American man from Dallas, TX, tragically lost his life on June 26, 2022. Stewart was found shot dead in his Northeast Dallas apartment along with Jimena Iliannid Nunez Sandoval, 24, who was also killed in the incident. The bodies were discovered three days after the shooting, with two young children under the age of five found at the scene. The children had been left alone with the bodies for an extended period before their discovery.
