MarStratton Gordon, a 23-year-old soldier stationed at Fort Campbell, was fatally shot on August 28, 2016, while on leave in Harriman, Tennessee. Gordon was visiting his girlfriend at her home on Byrd Avenue when a domestic altercation occurred. During the altercation, a 15-year-old boy, identified as Jacob Kinney, fired a single shot from a handgun, striking Gordon in the face and killing him.
