John Paul Dunn, a 36-year-old man from Newport, Tennessee, tragically died on April 5, 2019, in Cosby, TN. Dunn was found with a single gunshot wound in his vehicle's driveway after an alleged domestic dispute escalated into a shooting. According to the Cocke County Sheriff’s Department, Dunn had been involved in a verbal and physical altercation with his mother before his stepfather, Olin Hellard, 63, allegedly shot him.
