Douglas Holmes, a 35-year-old male of African American ethnicity from Chattanooga, TN, was tragically shot and killed on June 24, 2019. The incident occurred at Holmes' residence on Portland Street following an argument over fake money. Jeremy Sutton, a 20-year-old male, was later charged with Holmes' murder. Sutton admitted to shooting Holmes multiple times after entering the residence.
