Jerry Birdwell, a 54-year-old man from Joelton, TN, tragically lost his life on June 28, 2020. Birdwell was fatally shot by his uncle, William "Kenny" Gardner, 77, at their shared home on Jackman Road. The incident occurred early in the morning around 5 a.m. Gardner reportedly kicked in Birdwell's bedroom door and shot him in the chest and neck. Birdwell's girlfriend, Tammy Cornwell, 55, was also injured in the shooting, sustaining a gunshot wound to her arm.
