On a summer evening in Tullahoma, Tennessee, the life of 28-year-old Alexander North was tragically cut short. On July 18, 2020, North was found with gunshot wounds in the parking lot of the Ada Ferrell Apartment complex. Emergency services were called to the scene after multiple reports of gunfire, but despite their efforts, North succumbed to his injuries.
Responding officers at the apartment complex quickly identified and detained a suspect, Norman Paul Adams, Jr., who was 62 years
old at the time. Adams was found armed at the scene and, based on witness statements, was determined to be responsible for the shooting. He was subsequently arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with Alexander North's death.
In addition to the fatal shooting, authorities also reported that they were investigating a related altercation at the same location where a female had been injured. The circumstances surrounding this additional incident and its direct connection to the shooting were part of the ongoing police investigation into the events of that evening.
