Jose Luis Escobar, a 19-year-old resident of San Francisco, was tragically killed on October 20, 2012, near the intersection of 16th and Valencia streets in the Mission District. Escobar, known affectionately as "Boo" by his family and "Goofy" among his friends, was waiting for a ride home from his new job when he was approached by two suspects who shot him.
