Chiquita Lanea Stanley, a 31-year-old Black woman from Bolivar, Tennessee, tragically lost her life on August 9, 2022. She was fatally shot in the head during an overnight incident at her residence on East Jefferson Street. The Bolivar Police Department responded to the scene around 1 a.m. and found Stanley with the gunshot wound. She was immediately transported to Bolivar General Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
