In the winter of 1972, a dedicated 29-year-old White male Delaware State Trooper named Ronald L. Carey found his life tragically cut short. On January 5th, he and his partner, Trooper David C. Yarrington, were investigating an armed robbery that had occurred at a motel. Their investigation led them to the Concord Motel in Concord-township, Pennsylvania, where they spotted a vehicle matching the description of the one used by the suspects.
