Eric Bernstein, a 2-year-old boy from Marple Township, PA, tragically died on May 11, 1987. His death was the result of a shooting by his mother, Irene Bernstein, who was 41 years old at the time. Irene Bernstein, who was of Caucasian ethnicity, pleaded no contest to third-degree murder.
