On May 30, 1988, 16-year-old Christopher B Shank from Lamar, PA, tragically lost his life in what was initially believed to be a murder-suicide. Christopher was a freshman at Bald Eagle-Nittany High School and was described by his peers and teachers as incapable of such a violent act. He was found mortally wounded on a couch with a .22-caliber pistol at his side.
