Dennis Fitzwater, a 31-year-old man from Monessen, PA, tragically lost his life on May 27, 2014, due to a home invasion. The incident occurred less than a week after Fitzwater had been released from the Westmoreland County Prison on drug charges. On the night of the invasion, two masked men broke into the house on Chestnut Street, where Fitzwater was living with his wife and two young children. The assailants held a gun to the head of Fitzwater and his girlfriend before shooting him in the neck.
