Laffage Caver, aged 63, was killed on June 20, 2010, during a tragic incident at a family gathering in Detroit, Michigan. The incident occurred on the 16800 block of Avon Street. Reverend Dr. Laffage Caver Jr. was taking out the garbage when an unknown assailant approached him and fatally shot him. The homicide happened around 12:50 a.m., and the perpetrator remains unidentified.
