Gerry Butts, a 27-year-old man from Detroit, was killed on July 1, 2010. The incident occurred at approximately 3:00 a.m. when three unknown suspects broke into his home through a side window. During the break-in, Gerry woke up and attempted to confront the intruders, leading to a physical struggle. Unfortunately, the suspects responded with violence, shooting Gerry multiple times.
