In the early hours of a cold Detroit morning on February 7, 2011, the life of Demario Brown, a 24-year-old Black/African American male, was tragically cut short. The evening had begun at Club Blazzin 7, but as Brown was leaving the venue at approximately 1:30 a.m., an encounter on the 20200 block of Joy Road turned fatal.
